Signs It May Be a Good Idea to Go Bald

For some, going bald is a choice. For others? Not so much. Be it because of genetics or for style, going bald is a major decision to make. Here are a few reasons why it may actually be a good idea for you.

You're already starting to lose your hair

Balding is common and can start as young as 15. If it comes as a shock, holding on to every strand of hair you have might not be the best idea – especially once it starts to look bad. If your hair line is seriously receding or you have the despised bald spot at the crown, taking matters into your own hands and just shaving it all off may be the way to go.

You got a really bad hair cut

While this isn't something you won't ever have to worry about here at DRE BLADEZ, having a barber mess you up might push you to go bald. If the cut is beyond repair, going bald might be the best option even if it's just temporary.

Your don't have a healthy crop of hair

When your hair is seriously mangled and damaged, starting fresh could be a good idea. Think of it like fresh soil for a new plant. Going bald can give you an opportunity to cultivate a healthy scalp that's capable of growing strong, shiny hair that's healthier than it was before.

You just want to try something new

It's not uncommon for men to go bald simply because they want to. Some men go bald because doing so aligns with the a new look or phase life. Losing a significant amount of weight, celebrating your 40th birthday, or finally growing a long beard are some popular reasons why men go bald.

Whatever your reason is for going bald, don't fall into the misconception that doing so means you don't need to go to the barbershop anymore. A bald head requires a completely different level of maintenance to prevent issues and stay looking good – all of which I'll discuss in the next post.
