Your hair products don't align with the weather
What products you use during hotter months shouldn't always be the same products you use during colder months. When it's summertime, your products should be lightweight and humidity-resistant so that your hair is protected but can still breathe. Opt for heavier more hydrating products in the winter. Also pay attention to how often your hair needs to be washed, conditioned, and deep conditioned as that can change with the weather, as well.
You take really hot showers
Hot showers are great – especially after a long, exhausting day. This is a quick an easy way to dry out your hair. If you color your hair, the dye won't last as long when you take hot showers. This doesn't mean your showers need to be ice cold, but lukewarm water is ideal.
You're always touching your hair
Consistently pulling, tugging, and brushing your hair can cause split ends. Do what you need to do, then let it be.
